The history of WordPress began in 2003, when two developers Matt Mullenweg and Mike Little, began to create a new platform for blogs based on the software b2/cafeblog. They soon abandoned that project and decided to continue development in their own way.

They released the first version of WordPress 1.0 in January 2004. The system was very different from the feature-rich CMS we know today. However, it already had most of the core features we use today, such as a WordPress editor, an easy installation process, custom permanent links, a user management system, the ability to moderate content, and more.

Since 2004, the platform has undergone an incredible transformation. Today, the project is developed, managed and supported by an open-source community of thousands of participants from all over the world. They work remotely, many of them volunteer and can only meet in person at a WordCamp conference. WordPress is still actively developing. New versions are released every 2 or 3 months. With each version comes new functionality and improved security of the platform.

WordPress is an incredibly versatile platform. With this CMS you can create almost any website. Do you want to create a blog? WordPress is a great solution. Does your small business need an online presence? Again, WordPress will do the trick. Do you want an online portfolio to attract new clients? You already know the answer. Are you planning to create an online store? WordPress, of course. The options are countless! Plus, you can get started easily, and you can quickly find solutions and answers to questions with the help of the community if you need them.
